Exploration Two: Maddie Vincent

Hi everyone, I am Maddie Vincent and I'm from Powell, Ohio. I graduated from Buckeye Valley High School and I am majoring in nursing. I was a cheerleader for my school for 6 years and I did competitive cheer for 2 years. I have traveled out of the country three times. I went on two cruises during spring break that each lasted a week long, and I went to the Bahamas for a summer vacation when I was younger. I love traveling and I plan to travel more as I get older. If it is possible, I may try traveling nursing where you travel across the country and work at different hospitals as a nurse for a certain amount of time.

    You are so lucky to be able to go on all of those trips, it sound awesome! What was your favorite trip you went on?

    I like your idea about traveling nurse. I actually thought about that too! Are you also interested in being a nurse on plane or cruise too?

    I have also thought about being a travel nurse! Traveling and getting to do something i love at the same time sound so cool. Do you ever get scared of being a travel nurse because it would be hard to keep relationships/friendships? That's the one thing that scares me.

      Yes that does make me very nervous. I think if I were to be in a serious relationship I would really have to consider my options before making a decision. I wouldn't be as worried about friendships because I will be surrounded by other nurses all day, so I feel like making new friends would not be as hard.

    It makes total sense that you want to be a traveling nurse given that fact that you really enjoy traveling. If you plan on being a traveling nurse, where do you look forward to working at the most?

    With your interest in becoming a traveling nurse, would you be looking to travel to remote villages for things such as volunteer work or more towards hurricane relief crews?
