  1. I love they start with a question in the beginning. I learned her famous project is the restoration of the White House. The picture in the presentation shows how she had done to the White House by comparing the old one and the new one that after she redesigned. It make sense that she is also the most fashionable First Lady.

  2. I definitely learned a lot from this presentation. I knew about Jackie Kennedy, but i had no idea she was the type to go all out to get stuff done with her redecoration of the White House. The video was a nice touch to further add on to your point of one of the three reasons she was iconic. The only thing I would have liked to have heard about that wasn’t in your presentation would have been a little bit about her past life growing up. It would’ve helped to put together her whole life and what she was about. Otherwise, I learned a lot and you guys did great!

  3. Coming to this presentation, I only knew that she was one of the first ladies and didn't know much about her influences on Americans. So I definitely learned a lot from your guys' presentation! I like how you set up the context and background information prior to her husband's election and after he was assassinated. One little thing that could be added to this would be to include more of her fashion pieces as this was what she was most admired and criticized for.

  4. I knew Jackie Kennedy was a First Lady and a fashion icon, but that was it. I had no clue that she furnished the White House, and with money from her own book. That was my favorite part of the presentation, as I believe that it showed how good of a person she was, willing to give up her profit to for something other than herself. The only thing I could think of adding would be, maybe more information about her early life? Other wise it was a great presentation, well spoken on both of your parts!

  5. I learned so much about Jackie in the presentation, I knew about the White House renovation (the White House staff told me about it on the tour) but I didn't know much about Jackie herself and the trends she set. One thing I felt could have helped to improve the presentation was talking a bit about the rooms before they were renovated and why they were renovated, by that I mean the uses of "The Blue Room" and why it was particularity important to renovate. I really enjoyed learning about the other side of Jackie, fantastic job!

  6. I didn't know much about Jackie Kennedy before this presentation, but I definitely did by the end. I really liked how you talked about her being a fashion icon and all the things she did as first lady.I wasn't bored by this presentation and I loved the visuals. Well done!

  7. Before this presentation I had never really paid attention to Jackie Kennedy. Did not even know her name. I found the part about the dress she was wearing when her husband was shot to be the most interesting. I feel like no one ever hears about her reaction to that event. I think that this group might have considered organizing their points a little better. They seemed to jump back and forth some during the presentation which muddled the clear points.

  8. As someone who is pretty knowledgeable of presidential history, I thought this presentation was very interesting, and I liked the different ways you looked at Mrs. Kennedy's status as an iconic American figure (fashion standpoint, writing standpoint, etc). Very informative and well-spoken. I thought this was a very solid presentation.

  9. I knew a little bit about Jackie Kennedy before your presentation, but I didn't know most of what you talked about. I had no idea about the White House preservation stuff. I found everything very informative. The only criticism I have is that it could have used some more team work.

  10. I really loved the before and after pictures of the White House you guys showed! It made it real and helped me understand how much work she put into that project.
Your presentation may have benefited from discussion after the video. Don't just show us the video, talk about what it means afterwards.

  11. I liked the presentation on Jackie Kennedy, you both knew a lot about the the subject but I felt at points that the focus was being taken away from Jackie and I would try to refrain from doing that too much.

  12. I liked that you guys dove deeper than just saying that she was President Kennedy’s wife. By far, my favorite part of the presentation was showing how her style enfluenced First Ladies after her. It appeared that Melania Trump’s outfit was straight out of Mrs. Kennedy’s closet. I would suggest maybe doing just one or two more practice sessions. At times, it felt as if it was somewhat scripted.

  13. It was nice to see you guys bring out the designer side of Jackie and not only her first lady side. I would like to know if the decisions she made really influenced the white house in any way in the future. Other than that, great job!

  14. I have always admired Jackie Kennedy and I absolutely loved this presentation. You guys showed genuine interest and admiration for your topic, keeping everything flowing and relatable. Her impact on the White House was amazing. She saw importance in something that others simply blew off. I enjoyed learning how she made the book to raise money instead of simply using what was given. The only thing that I feel would have made if better is telling more of her story growing up and then her story with the president. I loved it, awesome job!

  15. Alison and Maddie, I really enjoyed your presentation about Jackie Kennedy! I think I’ve always thought of President Kennedy as an icon, but never his wife Jackie. However, I can certainly see why Jackie Kennedy is iconic after your presentation. Clearly she was a fashion icon considering people are still mimicking her outfits to this day, and her restoration of the White House is so unique. To be honest, I didn’t really think the video played a huge role or really added much to your presentation, but it was still entertaining. Again, great presentation!

  16. I had no idea what Jackie did before your presentation. My favorite part of it was when you explained the restoration efforts she made, and then passing congressional bills to make the house a museum. I also really enjoyed how you should Melania Trump pictures of her mimicking Jackies style. I would suggest not using the assignation as a reason, although it is iconic it is more about her husband than her.

  17. The presentation was very well put together and it was very obvious that you were both well informed on Jackie Kennedy. The things she was able to do as the first lady in just 3 years was very impressive to hear about. I also like that you focused on her accomplishments separate from her husbands. I would have liked to hear about what got Jackie into style and fashion as these were very important to her.

  18. Before the presentation I would have guessed that she was apart of the Kennedy family but I wouldn't be certain. This presentation gave me a good idea of who Jacqueline Kennedy is and what she represents. The coolest part of your presentation in my mind was how you were able to relate her fashion style to the ones of today with our current First Lady. Overall a good presentation with a lot of good information about the former president's wife.

  19. I really liked your presentation on this iconic figure, overall I didn’t know much of her influence on America and the world as it is today in fashion and the White House. I like how I got to learn something new. You guys also hit hard on the format of the presentation, putting in videos and showing many visuals to her work, which was wonderful. Overall, your presentation stood out to me quite a bit.

  20. I honestly didn't know too much about Jacqueline Kennedy before your presentation. I learned a lot about how she was truly a fashion icon, who set examples for the future First Lady's. I loved how you related her fashion to the present day and how her style is still living today. My favorite part was probably when you talked about how she restored the White House, the before and after pictures were amazing!

  21. I was very impressed with the exicution of this presentation. I knew that Jackie Kennedy was a fashion icon but I didn’t know about all the restoration efforts that took place! I can’t believe how composed she was after having her husband shot right next to her but you guys explained all of the aspects of her being an idol well. It felt like you both knew the topic well. Overall, great job!
