  1. This presentation is probably my favorite so far. I felt the personal connection and interest in the topic and it helped keep me engaged in this topic that I otherwise might have zoned out on. The use of specific details and the story Connor told really helped me better understand. It had a great conclusion and i could tell you guys were well prepared. Maybe more photos like the one you showed, just to help us better understand about the locations of things and how it played out. I loved this presentation!

  2. The presentation was great! Connor, I really really liked your own relation to the topic, that helped me understand and really visualize what was happening and how soldiers could have felt at the time. I think that relation made the PowerPoint all that more great. I think more pictures out maybe a short clip would have worked well with the presentation. Overall, this presentation was great!

  3. I really enjoyed this presentation. I really liked Conner's personal story because I was able to relate and understand what the soldiers were going through at that time. I also could tell that both of you did plenty of research and definitely knew what you were talking about. Something that could've made the presentation stronger is maybe adding some more pictures to help us visualize better but, overall you both did great!

  4. Honestly, I never heard of this battle before so it was a new concept for me, but I think you guys captured very well the important parts of the battle. I love how you started off setting up the context and really put us in those soldiers' shoes. I also like how Conor told his great grandfather's story. Something that I would add to this would be some actual footages from the battle (if there are any) or like an actual interview of veterans that served in this war. But overall, great presentation!!

  5. I didn't have a clue what this battle was at first, but this presentation explained what it was very well. I enjoyed listening to this presentation, and I especially liked the personal story. I think more pictures would have been nice, but it was well spoken, well explained, and it was good all around. Great job!

  6. Very informative from a historical standpoint. It was a well spoken presentation, and I like the connections you made to family members in the battle. I too had a relative fight in the Battle of the Bulge. I think the personal connection was the best part of the presentation. I don't really have any criticisms. It was a solid presentation all around.

  7. This presentation was great. I had never heard of this battle before, and the way that Conor had a personal connection to it made it even more interesting. Personal experiences are always more memorable than just a list of facts. If I had to come up with a criticism it would just be about clarifying a couple terms that would be considered war lingo. Over all, very informational and interesting.

  8. I didn't even know that this battle happened. I really enjoy history of battles and it was really nice to learn about a new one. You guys did a great in-depth analysis of the battle. My one problem is a minor one, I felt like the text on the slides where the type of information that should have been on a note card.

  9. I really loved the visual descriptions that were used. In particular, you said that "they were like ants," and I could really just see that strongly in my mind.
You might consider using less text at some points, but it wasn't overwhelming.

  10. This was a great presentation, my favorite part was the anecdote about Conner's grandfather which really helped explain how chaotic the battle was. My only criticism is that at some points I didn't follow with all of the numbers and I didn't know how the U.S. won with so few troops and then later you explained that they brought in more.

  11. This presentation was, in my opinion, the best so far. You guys cooperated, made connections that helped illustrate concepts, and there was a genuine excitement that was displayed when presenting your information. Even the questions that followed the presentation were handled greatly and you guys had a response to everything. I believe that there’s nothing that I observed that you guys could have done better.

  12. This was an amazing presentation because of the familiarity of the material for you guys. You guys felt really confident in dealing with this topic as it must have related to you and the way you guys worked together was great. I also liked the anecdote of Connor's grandfather. There is nothing to improve. Very well done!

  13. From your personal story to specific facts and numbers, I truly enjoyed how thorough your presentation was. You guys went in depth with everything and did not leave a detail out. I also really liked how you went into the history of why and how it happened. You went over both sides of the story, such as the German view and the American view. You simplified what seemed to be a very complicated event and made it possible for everyone to understand. The only thing I feel that could be improved was the format of the slides. Awesome job guys!

  14. Conor and Christian, I really enjoyed your presentation! I’m not really super interested in wars or military-related stories, but I was captivated during your presentation. I can tell that you both did lots of research and I learned a lot from your presentation. One suggestion that might have made it better is having it flow better? I think at times there were pauses and/or uncertainty. Overall, great presentation!

  15. I knew nothing about the battle of the bulge before this presentation. I really loved your presentation because of the personal connection that was made about Christian's Grandpa. I think it really made your topic go full circle and it was great that you had a interview in your presentation. The only thing you could improve on is rehearsing maybe another time to make it more fluent. Overall it was a really great presentation!

  16. I really enjoyed your presentation over the Battle of the Bulge. The strongest part of your presentation was your ability to relate it to your everyday life with your grandfather. It gave your presentation personality and kept the audience very engaged. You both showed knowledge of the subject and was easily seen by your audience. Overall a good job was done and the presentation was engaging.

  17. I enjoyed how this presentation was more about the battle itself rather than the run of the mill war presentations, especially the real world family connection. I felt the presentation was great overall but I felt that it could have benefited from you guys explaining some of the military jargon you used.

  18. I think we all enjoyed connors personal touch to this presentation, myself included. I also really liked the flow and how easily both of you talked about each slide and the next topic of discussion. You looked out in the audience well enough and knew what you were talking about, good job.

  19. Your presentation was very interesting and informative as I didn't know anything about this battle beforehand. The personal connection to the battle was very effective in showing what this topic meant to you guys. The facts and numbers showed your interest and how much research you guys did. It could have been a bit more rehearsed but overall, amazing job.

  20. I've heard of the Battle of The Bulge before but I never really knew any of the details. It sounds like it was a very hectic and scary time for the soldiers and it ended up being one of the bloodiest battles. I think it's insane that your grandfather was in the battle as well and I bet there are some crazy stories from that. Overall the presentation was easy to follow and held some great information.
